Unbelize-able

Belize has served us extremely well. Caye Caulker was exquisite and I tried to savour every moment of our fleeting visit. As the photos will depict, we had a brilliant last night too. Homemade rum punch and barbecue on the roof before dancing at I&I with brothers Shane and Shane.

The journey to San Ignacio the next morning on rammed public transport was  less than ideal but we are in a stunning Eco-lodge in the jungle which has made up for it. The spider that we found however with a body the size of a matchbox was not okay.

Today we bravely gave up the chance to go tubing and opted for a 'demanding' trek and caving. It was hard going and verging on scary at times when we had to navigate ourselves on slippery surfaces and contort our bodies through tiny spaces but I'm glad we pushed through. The penis shaped formation we found definitely kept the spirits up.

Filthily muddy skin and canckles growing with every passing second, we trudged back to civilisation and a very welcome swim.
